Your website is often the first conversation a customer has with your business. I design and build custom websites that turn that visit into an enquiry — from strategy and UX to production code. One person, a fixed price, and no agency overhead.
Since 2019 · Custom websites for small businesses, agencies and banks · Next.js, React, WordPress & ShopifyNo account manager and no hand-off between designer and developer. You speak to the person who designs and builds the site.
Static or server-rendered pages, optimised images and correct structured data. Speed and discoverability are built in, not added later.
After a short intake you get a clear scope and a fixed project price. No hourly surprises and no scope creep you did not agree to.
Clear offers, obvious calls to action and a mobile-first layout that turns visitors into enquiries instead of just page views.
An agency often brings a team of five: strategist, designer, developer, project manager and account manager. You pay for that overhead, and your idea passes through five pairs of hands. With me, strategy, design and code stay with one person. That means shorter feedback loops, faster decisions and a website shaped around your business rather than squeezed into a template.
For a small business or a growing team, that is often the difference between a site that simply exists and a site that produces enquiries. You get the senior person doing the work, without the layers around them.
From a compact brand site to a platform with accounts. Most projects fall into one of these buckets:
A template can be the right call when budget and speed matter more than differentiation. A custom website makes sense when your offer, buying process or integrations do not fit a standard theme.
A custom website is built around your actual services, the questions your customers ask and the way you sell. The page structure, the content model and the calls to action follow your business instead of being squeezed into a demo.
It also means you own the result: no page-builder lock-in, no plugin you cannot remove and no theme update that breaks the layout. The site is built to be maintained, and it stays fast as it grows.
SEO is not a plugin you install at the end. It lives in the structure, the speed and the content of the site. I build it in from the first sketch:
Local visibility still depends on a correct Google Business Profile, consistent contact details and links from relevant sites. Nobody can honestly guarantee position one — what I can guarantee is that the technical foundation is done properly, so you are not fighting your own website.
I work remotely with clients in Europe, the Americas and beyond. Calls are scheduled in your time zone, design reviews happen in Figma, and you follow development on a shared staging URL. The process is built to work without a meeting room.
I work in English, Spanish and Dutch. That means the person designing and building your site can also write and review the copy in your language, instead of passing it through a translator at the end.
Not mockups: live sites I designed and built from strategy through production code.

A Belgian windows and doors installer. Nine service pages, a filterable portfolio and every page pre-rendered to static HTML for local search.

A specialty coffee product: brand, app and a static marketing site with public pages for every coffee and profile.

We discuss your goals, audience and deadline. I tell you honestly whether I am the right person for the project.
Sitemap, page goals, content and conversion paths. Design starts after that — not before.
You see the site before any code is written. We iterate through one or two focused rounds.
Next.js or WordPress, responsive, with real content. You follow progress on a staging URL and see every change.
DNS, redirects, analytics, Search Console and a short training session. Then 30 days of aftercare for small adjustments.
Every website is custom, so I work with a fixed project price instead of an hourly rate. The price depends on the number of pages, the level of customisation, whether you need a CMS, languages, integrations and how much content is already ready.
For a compact, fast site that explains your brand and offer clearly.
For a growing business that wants to rank for several services or regions.
For selling, booking or managing customers with custom functionality.
After the intake you get a proposal with scope, price and timing. Changes outside the scope are discussed upfront, so there is no awkward conversation at the end.
A template gives you a fixed layout and a set of plugins to adapt. A custom website starts from your offer, your customer journey and the pages you actually need, then adds only the functionality that earns its place. The result is usually faster, easier to maintain and easier to differentiate.
It depends on the scope. A compact business site is a different investment from a 15-page service site or an online shop. After a 30-minute intake you get a fixed price with a clear scope, so there are no surprises. I deliberately do not bill by the hour.
A business site usually goes live in 2 to 4 weeks; a service site with multiple pages or languages takes 4 to 8 weeks; a shop or platform takes 6 to 12. The biggest variable is not the code but how quickly content and feedback are ready.
Yes. I map the current URLs, rankings and backlinks, and set up 301 redirects for everything that changes. Content that works stays; content that does not work gets rewritten. You keep what you have already built.
The technical foundation is always included: fast pages, correct headings, metadata, sitemap, structured data and canonical/hreflang. Ongoing SEO with content, link building and monthly reporting is a separate engagement.
Yes, if you want to. I work with a CMS (WordPress, Sanity or Payload) or with MDX in the code, depending on how often your content changes and who maintains it. You get a short training session at handover.
Both, and the choice depends on your situation. WordPress often makes sense for a team that publishes a lot; Next.js for speed, custom design and scale. I will not build your site on a stack you cannot maintain later.
Yes. I work remotely with clients in Europe, the Americas and elsewhere. Calls are scheduled in your time zone, and the whole process — discovery, design reviews, staging and launch — runs online.
A short explanation of what you do, who you sell to and when you need the site. Existing branding, photos and copy help, but they are not required; we can also start from zero.
Tell me in a few lines what your business does and what you want to achieve. You get a reply within two working days with an honest assessment and a proposal for a 30-minute intake.
